I feel passionate about supporting and guiding people to find a way through their difficulties. I offer you a warm, compassionate, confidential space where you can talk freely about your concerns, feel listened to and where we can make sense of what you are experiencing, gain a deeper understanding and find the best way forwards for you.
Often, clients feel at a loss as to how they can help themselves with the difficulties they are facing and want 'strategies' to help them. Together we will explore what current resources support you and identify areas where you need more help to help you feel more confident and resourced. I work in a way that helps you feel safe and able to manage any difficult emotions you are facing.
My aim is to support you safely and gently through change, if change is what you want and to reach positive and sometimes life changing outcomes.

The aims of both Counselling and Mindfulness are to help you:
• Develop greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and self-compassion
• Come to terms with difficult events and situations in your life, past or present
• Bring positive change into your life, if change is what you want
• Move forward with confidence and resilience
There are many different models of counselling which can be quite confusing when looking for a counsellor. I offer an integrative approach to counselling and am influenced by mindfulness/awareness and compassion practices which I have been studying and teaching for many years.
I have a particular interest in helping clients develop self-compassion through Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), which helpful for clients who experience issues with their self-critic, guilt or shame.I have trained in the CFT approach to working with shame based trauma.
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries.

I spent 6 years working in the NHS, providing brief Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, (CBT) to individuals and couples with a wide range of difficulties.
I am a registered and accredited counsellor with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and have over 14 years experience from working in both the private and public sector providing short term and long term therapy.

• develop the ability to respond rather than react to habitual habits and past conditioning
• develop the skills to be able to explore your experiences as they are happening
• develop the ability to slow things down, have continued observation and reflection in daily practice & outside of sessions
• become more gently and compassionate with yourself, more connected to others and life itself
Sessions are held in a cabin in my garden in: LEA, Wiltshire
LEA is in a quiet location in a village within 5 minutes drive from Malmesbury, Wiltshire, Swindon (20 minutes by car) or Chippenham, (20 minutes by car) or Tetbury (10 minutes by car), Cirencester, (20 minutes by car)
There is free parking and disabled access available.
